Step By Step Guide To Putting In Contact Lenses
Here’s a Step-By-Step Guide to putting in contact lenses:
Step 1 - Thoroughly wash your hands in warm soapy water, rinse and dry.
Step 2 - Rinse the contact lens in the solution when removing it from the case to get rid of any dust or dirt. If its a one time use lens then simply take it out of the package.
Step 3 - Make sure the lens is facing the right way round and place it on your index or first finger.
Step 4 - Avoid blinking and hold your upper eyelid with your other hand.
Step 5 - Using the other fingers of the hands that you are applying the lens with, pull down your lower lid of your eye.
Step 6 - Look up and place the lens into your eye.
Step 7 - Once the lens is in your eye, close your eyelid and keep your eye closed for a few moments.
Step 8 - Blink a few times to allow the lens to sit in place and then repeat the same process with the other eye.
If at any time your lens feels uncomfortable, remove it and inspect for damage or any dust/fluff that may be on it. If the lens is damaged, discard it immediately. Otherwise, rinse with more solution and reapply.
Always follow safety instructions on packaging and the enclosed information leaflet.
